CRAFT Work

Picture
Flower on a Blue Tile
I made all of this out of clay and then painted it.  We then used PVA glue to make it look shiny!

I love the mix of bright blue and white and green colours.

I did it when I was 9.

Patchwork Cushion, August 2014
I did this one day in the school holidays and it took me about half a day.  I'd never done anything like it before but I looked at some videos on the internet and got the idea and how to do it from there.

My mum was at work and my Grandma was looking after me - she didn't know how to use the sewing machine so I quickly learnt how to thread that and use the different stitches!

I used different square patches of material and each line had one of each pattern.  I really enjoyed creating this and I now have it on my bed and I'm really proud of it.

This is the first piece of proper sewing that I did on the electric sewing machine.

I was 10 when I did it.

Green Man
This is called 'Green Man' after all the ones in my local cathedral.  Green Men are gargoyles covered in growing leaves.

I did this in art club and made it out of clay.  I then painted it different shades of green and then afterwards used pen to outline everything in different colours like brown and green etc.  I then covered it in PVA glue to make it shiny and hard.

I think I probably could have done better but my friends said it was good so I'm pleased.

I did this when I was 10 in Year 5.

Picture
Brazilian Carnival Mask
I did this when I was at Summer Club at my school.  I made it out of lots of different materials and added feathers.

I did this when I was 8 years old.

Picture
Clay Face
I did this at school in Year 2 and made it out of clay.  I think I did it in art lesson.

I did this when I was 7 years old.

Picture
Celtic Round House
This is a Celtic round house that I made in Year 4 and it was a homework assignment.  I made it out of straw, paper, grass and watercolour. I got a head teacher's award for it.
I did this when I was 8 years old.

Picture
Fossilised Dinosaur Tooth
This is made out of clay and white paint.  I made it look fossilised with a special kit.
I did this when I was 8 years old.

Picture
Egyptian Clay Pot
In Year 3 at school we studied Ancient Egypt.  I made this out of clay, paint and black felt tip pen.  I made it look like an Egyptian pot.  It is about the size of an eggcup.
I did this when I was 7 years old.

Picture
Clay Pot
I did this with a small clay kit at home.  It is about the same size as the Egyptian Clay Pot.  I let it dry and then painted it with pink hearts and black background.
I did this when I was 6 years old.

Picture
Milk Jug
I did this on my 9th birthday at Eastnor Pottery.  I learnt how to coil the clay and add a twisted handle. I then painted just the letters, the handle and the lip.

Picture
Potter's Wheel Pot
I did this on my 9th birthday at Eastnor Pottery.  It was the first time I've ever used a potter's wheel and it was a pretty good effort!  It is just glazed.  It is a perfect size for oil and balsamic vinegar for dipping bread in - which I love doing!
