I just came back from Cornwall, where I went on holiday with my family.  We visited places like Padstow, Tintagel, Boscastle and Polzeath.  My family and I had a wonderful time.

In Padstow we went for some Roskilly's ice cream (I had chocolate!) and then sat down by the harbour.

I got the idea of painting this picture (called Red Sail - on the right here) by sitting by the harbour and looking at some boats.   That's when I realised I wanted to paint a picture of a boat.

I chose acrylic because it helped with the effect and it gave nice bold colours.  I did this on a canvas

I love the reflections you've included, and the balance and stillness in the picture.

I love the use of colour as well as it being aesthetically very pleasing to the eye!
